Client: Cubix

The client for this project, Cubix, operates in the business-to-business sector, collaborating with pharmaceutical companies to develop oral capsules as alternatives to protein drug injections, such as insulin. The project's scope encompasses the early stages of oral drug delivery development, which precede the clinical phases of commercial translation. Leveraging their patented platform technology, expertise in drug delivery, and activities ranging from formulation design to regulatory intelligence, Cubix plays a significant role in advancing pharmaceutical innovation.

The goal of an extendable identity system is to create a recognizableand cohesive brand identity for Cubix, even when variations ofthe logo are used in marketing collaterals or to promote the brand on social media. This could be done by implementing the brand guidelines illustrated in the following slides.

Reflecting on Successes

Reflecting on my performance, one notable achievement that stands out is the presentation I delivered. The presentation was not only memorable but also highly persuasive and compelling. Additionally, I take pride in the solid identity system I designed for the project, which was well-prepared for a market launch.

Seeking Improvement

A valuable piece of feedback from my studio lead suggests that it would have been more effective to present my research and thought process at the outset of the project, creating a smoother flow, rather than as an afterthought in the final submission. This insight highlights the importance of structuring projects for clarity and coherence.

Intrigues and Interests

One of the most engaging aspects of this project for me was the realm of branding and identity design. Crafting an identity for a business-to-business model presented a delightful challenge. What particularly intrigued me was the art of designing a logo that could coexist among numerous other logos in the market while maintaining distinctiveness, subtlety, and industry relevance. The competition among fellow designers in the class served as a motivating force, propelling me to excel in this assignment.

Evolving as a Designer

In terms of my development as a designer, this project has significantly boosted my confidence in communication design, especially in the domain of identity design. This newfound confidence is likely to translate into an adjustment of my design fees for future projects with similar requirements, reflecting the enhanced value I can offer in this specialized field. This growth is a testament to the evolving skill set and expertise I continue to cultivate as a designer.
